SunEye launched in UK and Eire.
Encraft have launched the Solmetric SunEye solar analysis tool in the UK and Eire, exhibiting the product at Energy Solutions, Interbuild and The Solar Trade Association Annual Conference. SunEye offers professional solar installers and system designers a new tool to save time and cost in the design process and differentiate themselves in the market.
SunEye is a hand held tool to capture site-specific shading and solar access data, enabling designers to evaluate precisely how much solar energy will be available in a given location and accurately predict energy output. This helps them locate systems optimally and avoid shading issues from nearby trees and buildings.
Poorly sited (shaded) solar systems can perform significantly less well (by 50% or more) than well sited systems. Existing methods for estimating shading patterns rely on expensive simulation and computation, and laborious manual surveying.
The SunEye is particularly well suited to optimising solar installations in built up areas.
